Woman stoned to death in Khurda

Khurda: A woman was allegedly stoned to death by an unidentified miscreant at Nirakarpur area here.

Though the identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained, sources said she was working as a sweeper in the locality.

The exact reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, sources added.

Meanwhile, tension erupted in the locality as soon as the news of the murder of the woman spread in the area.

Irate locals staged a road blockade at New Jagannath road in the area demanding the arrest of the culprit.
