Balasore: A day before the interim Railway budget, the Centre on Tuesday assured Odisha of all necessary help in developing the railway infrastructure in the state.

The support of the Railway Ministry would come provided the state government extend its full cooperation, minister of state Adhir Chowdhury said.

Laying the foundation stone of two flyover bridges over South Eastern Railway (SER) tracks in Balasore district, Chowdhury said, "all sanctioned railway projects earmarked for the state will be completed in due course of time."

He also said that three such flyovers - one each between Balasore and Nilagiri railway station, Jaleswar and Amarda railway station and Laxmannath and Jaleswar station - were under consideration.

"Demand for opening a Public Reservation System (PRS) in trains at Baliapal in Balasore district will not be a problem if the state government provides a house, electricity and manpower whom the Railway authorities would train," he said.

The minister said, the demand for railway connectivity to Nilagiri in Balasore district is also under consideration.
