UTP dies after prolonged illness

Angul: An under trial prisoner (UTP) facing rape and murder charges died here today at hospital after prolonged illness.

Accused Srabana Kumar of Madhupur village under Bantala police station had been lodged in Angul jail on charges of raping and killing a minor girl at his own village.

His health condition was not well for last few days. He was admitted to district headquarters hospital on Sunday where he died.
