Two killed in road accident

Baripada: Two persons including a woman were killed in a road accident near Bahalda Chhak on Ranchi-Vijaywada National Highway no-220 in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Sunday morning.

Reports said a pick-up van was passing through Bahalda market area when the driver Fagu Bindhani (30), a local youth, lost control of the vehicle which skidded off the road and ran over a woman sitting beside the road killing her on the spot.

The driver was also killed after the vehicle overturned after hitting the woman.

The deceased woman, identified as Sumi Sardar (45) was grazing her goats when the mishap took place.

Following information, police rushed to the spot and took the bodies for post mortem.
