Respite from power cuts likely in 2016

Bhubaneswar: In a respite for consumers, power cuts are likely to be reined in during 2016. A decision to this effect is likely to be taken after reviewing the water level at various reservoirs. A high-level meeting has been convened in this regard by the Energy department today, official sources said.

“As per schedule, we will hold a meeting in the second week of January 2016. We are currently able to manage the power situation and will finalise a blueprint for the future in the meeting,” said Energy minister Pranab Prakash Dash.
