Puri: National Investigation Agency (NIA) team will continue its simulation exercise on Monday in presence of accused Ramchandran Subhas to recreate the train arson scene at the Puri railway station on November 12.

A team of doctors and ambulance is also helping out the NIA team in the simulation exercise.

On Sunday, the simulation exercise began in the evening and was divided into two phases. Accused Subhas was taken to the Puri railway station platforms for thorough questioning by the NIA team led by the agency’s SP. He was being asked questions in Tamil and English.

Subhas was later taken to the exact places of the platforms where the three trains were torched.

Notably, the arson started at 7.30 pm on November 12 at different platforms in the Puri railway station. First, at platform no 4 of the station, the Nandankanan Express was torched. Then the Tirupati Express at platform 2 and Puri-Howarh Express at platform 6 were set on fire.

Only Subhas has been held in the serial train coach burning case so far. The NIA, which is probing the matter, is looking for possible involvement of other people in the arson case, sources said.
