Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s (IOCL) 15 MMTPA state-of-the-art refinery on February 6. This was informed by Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday.

The minister said, “Modi is scheduled to dedicate the refinery to the nation on February 6 and will inaugurate the new building of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Jatni near Khurda."

Official sources said after inaugurating the refinery, the PM will proceed to Puri in the afternoon to pay obeisance to the deities at Sri Jagannath temple.

“He will spend night at Raj Bhawan in Puri and the next day will attend the function in NISER," sources added.

IOCL has so far invested Rs.35,000 crore in the refinery project at Paradip. Pradhan said his Ministry planned an investment of Rs one lakh crore in Odisha.
