Bhubaneswar: In a bid to conduct the ensuing annual Maticulation Examination smoothly, a meeting chaired by School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra was held at state secretariat here on Thursday.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the School and Mass Education minister said, “We reviewed the preparation for the Matric examination to be held on February 22.”

“We have formed 367 nodal centres and 67 evaluation centres for the examination,” the minister added.

“Students can download their admit cards online. Besides, we will also send to the hard copies of admit cards to their schools by March 15,” Mishra stated.

"All the preparation for annual high school certificate examinations have reached final stage. As we have made online arrangement for downloading admit card for the first time in the examination, we will send hard copies of admit card to the schools," Board of Secondary Education president Dakhshya Prasad Nanda said.

Among others, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School and Mass Education Ranjana Chopra, Board of Secondary Education president Dakhshya Prasad Nanda were present during the meeting.

Notably, the matric examination, conducted by BSE will begin from February 22 and will continue till March 4. The evaluation of answer sheets will begin from March 11.

As many as 6,01,348 students will appear in the annual matic examination which will be held across 2,882 own examination centres and 205 newly formed examination centres across the state.
