Notable success in anti-Maoist ops in 2015: Police DG

Bhubaneswar: State police have achieved noticeable success in anti-maoist operations in 2015, said Police DG KB Singh to media persons after a high level meeting on Left Wing Extremism in Odisha held at the Secretariat.

“We reviewed the Naxal activities inside Odisha and are quite satisfied with our effort in 2015 and our performance was very good. Naxalites have become desperate and are morally down. They are targeting locals and innocent villagers as they have lost their support base in Odisha,” said Singh.

The meeting which was chaired by Home secretary discussed the anti-Maoist strategy for the year 2016. Director of Intelligence and IG Operations were present in the meeting.
