Moral turpitude case: Vandana did not depose before SCW

Bhubaneswar: Even though a notice was served to Indian Economic Service (IES) officer Vandana Aggarwal by Odisha State Commission for Women (SCW) in connection with a moral turpitude case against senior IAS officer Taradatt, Aggarwal did not appear before the commission on Friday.

According to sources, the commission had asked Aggarwal to depose before the SCW in Bhubaneswar at 11 am on October 30. But, she did not turn up.

Meanwhile, Taradatt’s wife Indulata Das, the complainant deposed before the SCW. She has alleged that her husband and Vandana Aggarwal have been in close relationship with each other.

Das had recently pleaded with the SCW to expedite probe into the case.
