Man killed by four brothers over petty quarrel

Anandapur: In a shocking incident, four persons allegedly killed their brother over a petty quarrel between their kids at Paitapani village on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagirathi Mahanta.

According to sources, the four siblings called Mahanta out of his house at around 10 pm last night and attacked him causing his death.

Paan Hembram, wife of the deceased alleged, “They murdered my husband near our house. After committing the crime, they fled with the cash saved in a trunk.”

On being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the matter.

Till the last report came in, one of the four accused had surrendered before the police.
