Half burnt body of youth found in Cuttack

Cuttack: The half-burnt body of a youth was found inside an under construction building in CDA sector-10 area here on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Smruti Ranjan Sarangi of Ainipada village of Pattamundai area in Kendrapara district.

According to sources, Behera was working as an LIC agent and was residing in a rented house in CDA sector-11.

Though the exact reason behind the death of Behera is yet to be ascertained, his brother termed it as a murder.

“My mother called him but he did not receive the phone. When he did not return home, we started searching him but did not find him. When I came here, I found him lying dead here,” Sarthak Sarangi, brother of the deceased said.

“I have a past enmity with some criminals and they are on bail. I think they have killed my brother,” Sarthak alleged.
