Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police on Friday registered another case against the arrested Dhalasamant brothers following a report from the State Bank of India on discovering Rs 12,000 fake notes among the currency notes seized from the residence of the duo here.

The D-brothers, who are lodged in the Choudwar circle jail following their arrest last month, have confessed to killing their aides Om and Dipu.

Besides, during raid on the residence of the D-brothers, the police seized a huge cache of arms including a carbine and Rs 2.65 crore.

In a related development, the Cuttack SDJM court asked the Commissionerate Police to produce the D-brothers before it tomorrow to give a verdict on an appeal filed by the cops for voice sample test of the duo. Notably, the law says for voice sample test of an accused approval of the person is mandatory.

Source said the Commissionerate Police requires voice sample test of the D-brothers to proceed in its investigation regarding conversations between the criminal siblings and complainants alleging extortion against the duo.
