Bhubaneswar: Issuing a stern warning, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has asked concerned officials to ensure that the beneficiaries under the rural housing schemes are not harassed. In case of any complains, strict action will be initiated against authorities found guilty, Patnaik warned while addressing district collectors during a video-conference on Thursday.

Patnaik also asked the collectors to review the quality aspects of the rural housing programs. The CM asked them to ensure that all Kuccha houses in all mineral-rich districts of the State are converted into Pucca ones by the next Independence Day.

While reviewing the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the State, Patnaik directed the collectors to decide on the applications of the beneficiaries who have been left out of the program.
