Bargarh: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on February 21 to attend a farmers’ rally here, Director General of Police (DGP) KB Singh today reviewed the security arrangements at the meeting venue.

Singh was accompanied by Intelligence director Sunil Roy, IG Swapna Tiwari and DIG Prateek Mohanty.

Moreover, senior BJP leader and MLA KV Singhdeo, was also present at the venue to take stock of the situation.

A couple of days back, BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had reviewed preparations after visiting the meeting venue.

The Prime minister is scheduled to attend the Virat Kisan Sammelan organised by his party on February 21 where thousands of farmers from across the State are expected to gather.
Notably, Modi visited Odisha earlier this month to dedicate the mega IOCL oil refinery at Paradip to the nation, inaugurate a new building of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) near Jatni in Khurda. He also visited Shri Jagannath Temple at Puri for the darshan of the Lords.
