DA case: Two officials convicted

Bhubaneswar: A special vigilance court here today convicted two officials in disproportionate assets (DA) case.

The court awarded retired superintending engineer Bipin Bihari Panda a 20-month jail term and fined Rs 2 lakh.

Similarly, the court asked to confiscate a two-storey building of former manager of Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation Ltd. (OB&CC) Arun Parida located at Gautam Nagar here.

The order also includes confiscation of Parida’s bank deposit worth Rs 23 lakh.
