Cuttack: The notorious criminal brothers Sushil and Sushant Dhalasamant today refused to undergo a voice sample test, which the police had sought to match it with some recordings recovered from their CDA residence.

The police had moved the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court here seeking permission to conduct the voice sample test of the criminal siblings. The court on Friday directed the cops to produce the gangster siblings before it to obtain their consent for the same.

The D-brothers are currently on police remand for interrogation.

As per Supreme Court guidelines, consent of the concerned persons is mandatory for conducting their voice sample test.

Meanwhile, a team of Commissionerate police led by an ACP raided the house of another aide of the criminals duo-Jugaprakash Kanungo - at Sutahaat area in the city.

Adding a new dimension to the investigation into the criminal records of the dreaded duo, police has found fake currency notes amounting to Rs 12,000 during scrutiny of the cash seized during raids from their residence. Police yesterday registered another case against the criminal siblings at the Chauliaganj police in this connection.
