Cuttack: Lawyers of Orissa High Court on Wednesday decided to continue boycott of court activities till Friday to protest against the state government's decision to abolish all benches of State Administrative Tribunal (SAT).

According to High Court Bar Association officials, the striking lawyers also called upon other bar associations in other cities to follow suit.

The lawyers are on strike since Tuesday afternoon expressing solidarity with their SAT bar colleagues who are protesting against the decision to abolish all benches of SAT.

In its general body meeting here, the High Court Bar Association decided to form a steering committee to resolve the issue after discussing with the government, they said.

The Association also decided to take legal recourse like filing a writ petition in the High Court if the need arises.
