Congress to take out 'padyatra' protesting Govt's inefficiency

Bhubaneswar: Protesting incompetence of the BJP government at the Centre and ruling BJD in State, Odisha congress has decided to take out a ‘padyatra’ starting from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 till Gopabandhu Jayanti on October 9. This was decided at the PCC office bearers meeting held on Friday. The party workers are directed to launch a massive protest projecting the failure of both the central and State government.

In the meeting PCC chief Prasad Harichandan’s new team was assigned the organizational responsibilities. General Secretaries have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the parliamentary constituencies, while the secretaries of PCC have been given the charge of handling the assembly constituencies.
