Bhubaneswar: The Arthika Sanstha Manakdwara Kshatigrastanka Milita Manch today demanded a tehsil-wise survey of chit fund investors who lost their hard-earned money in one of the biggest scam of the State.

The Manch, a group of a large number of duped chit fund investors in the State, has plans to organise a mega rally in the city on June 10 demanding immediate return of money to affected depositors and amendment to the faulty financial laws.

Asking the State government to refund of money to small depositors, the Manch members dubbed the State Cabinet’s decision on refund to duped investors as a ‘drama’.

Manch advisor Soumya Ranjan Patnaik told mediapersons that the government’s announcement of Rs 300-crore corpus fund for the duped investors and setting up of Patra Commission would not yield any results.

“The State government is yet to identify the affected depositors and does not know how much money is to be returned to them,” he pointed out.
