Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday seized call record details (CDR) of 20 persons from the residence of the arrested Dhalasamant brothers here.

Sourcesin the police said the D-brothers used to keep a tab on gang members, opposition groups and police through the CDRs.

The CDR, which is provided by the telecom service providers to police and some selected people, cannot be given to someone without police requisition. The new seizure has put the cops in a tizzy; they are clueless about how the D-brothers managed to get these classifieds.

Meanwhile, BJD Corporator of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) from ward no – 7 Ranjita Biswal was questioned at the Mahila Police Station here in connection with her alleged links with the D-brothers for long hours.

Biswal after the quizzing told media persons, "As I was the joint secretary of the Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha, I had some connections with the D-brothers. I used to meet the duo at social functions," adding that she will cooperate with the police in probe.
