Body of youth found near Derjang reservoir

Angul: Police on Sunday recovered the body of a youth with multiple injuries near Derjang reservoir.

Police suspect it as a clear case of murder as the neck of the youth had a deep cut mark while his face was completely crushed with a stone.

“It is difficult to identify the youth as his face has been crushed with a stone. Besides, there is no other source to identify the youth as the police did not find any articles like money purse or other things from him. We will take the photos of the deceased youth after cleaning his face and send it to different places so that we can trace his family members from whom we can get the clues of the murder,” IIC of Angul Model Police Station, Subas Chandra Sahu told the media.

The IIC also informed that a scientific team and a dog squad have rushed to the site for an on-the-spot investigation.
