Body found with hands tied in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The mutilated body of a youth with the hands tied was found lying by the side of Jaydev Vihar- Ekamra park road at IRC village here today.

Local people traced the body during morning walk and informed the police. Nayapali police reached the spot and sent the body to Capital hospital for post mortem. Police are trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased.

Preliminary investigation revealed that some miscreants might have killed the man outside and thrown the body there.

The youth might have been hit with a blatant object as injury marks are found on the body, police said.

In a separate incident, a woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Pala high school in Khurdha district. Police suspected it as a case of murder. The body has been seized and sent for post-mortem, police said.
