Bhubaneswar: The politics over the inauguration of IOCL’s Paradip refinery has refused to die down with the BJP today launching a scathing attack on the ruling BJD, demanding arrest of its legislators who allegedly created ruckus during the ceremony.

In a press conference here today, BJP spokesperson Samir Mohanty and senior leader Sajjan Sharma demanded the arrest of BJD MLAs Debasis Samantray and Pramod Mallick for their role in the incident. they alleged that Samantray terrorized people on the Paradip-IOCL road.

The saffron party also demanded Mallick’s arrest over the alleged ransacking of Tirtol Police Station.

On the other hand, another senior leader of BJP, Bijay Mohapatra has demanded a clarification from BJD supremo, Naveen Patnaik over the unsavory conduct of government officials during the ICOL Paradip refinery inauguration.
