Bhadrak: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police on Tuesday started interrogating Muna Khan and Haji, the two house owners, who rented their house to the five Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) operatives at Nangamahal area here in the district.

According to source, the STF officials are grilling the duo at Bhubaneswar to extract more information about the SIMI operatives who were arrested from Rourkela.

Till the last report came in, the STF has also started questioning the house owner, who rented the house to the terrorists at Rourkela.

Meanwhile, the police have sent the mobiles, pen drive and laptop seized from the possession of the outlawed outfit for examining.

During interrogation, the arrested terrorists had admitted that they had stayed in Bhadrak on rent for eight months before moving to Rourkela.

Acting on it, a team of STF personnel, accompanied by Crime Branch Special DG BK Sharma and IG Arun Bothra February 19, raided the house at Nangamahala in Bhadrak and seized some incriminating documents.

The STF seized two mobile phones, SIMI journals, pen-drive, wire and a dongle during the raid. The team took Zakir and Salique, the two operatives of the outlawed outfit, with them during the raid.

Notably on February 16, five terrorists, including a woman were arrested in Rourkela after a 3-hour-long fire exchange. According to sources, the five of them were staying at a rented flat Qureshi Mohalla. A joint team of Special Operations Group (SOG), Telengana Police, Rourkela Police and Intelligence Bureau launched a raid at the place and arrested the five.
