One-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling In Bore Well Pit In Balasore

Balasore: A one-year-old girl died after falling into a bore well pit at Goapala village under Khaira block of Balasore district on Thursday morning.

The victim has been identified as Sarojini Naik, daughter of one Saniya Naik of the village.

As per reports, Sarojini's mother had come to visit her relative's house at Goapala few days back.

Today, while the digging of the bore well was underway near the house, Sarojini who was playing nearby, fell into the well accidentally.

Some people present at the spot noticed her slipping into the bore well pit and immediately called for help. Neighbours and her family members rushed to the spot and rescued her from the well.

Though she was later taken to Khaira Hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead, added reports. A pal of gloom descended the village following the death of the baby girl.
