Bhubaneswar: A few days after the story of love and deception of Ollywood actress Chinmayee Priyadarshini became the talk of the town, more trouble seems to have befallen the actress after a businessman from Jharsuguda has alleged that she defrauded him of Rs 2.70 lakh on pretext of marriage.

As per allegations levelled by the businessman, Chinmayee first came in contact with him through a matrimony site in 2017. After staying in regular touch over phone and social media, both gradually became close and the businessman even gave her Rs 2.70 lakh cash in several instalments. The businessman further alleged that when he requested her to return his money, she allegedly threatened him of dire consequences.

To substantiate his allegations, the businessman has released some audio recordings of their conversations and snapshots of their chats on social media.

“She promised to marry me and so, I trusted her and helped her financially. She assured that once her films hit the theatres, she would return the money but she duped me. When I asked her, she threatened me and said that she had connections with ministers and dared me to produce the evidences,” the businessman alleged.

Not only that, the cine actress has also been accused of duping Rs 10,000 from another youth of Bhubaneswar on the pretext of landing him a job in films.

Even though Chinmayee has not clarified anything on the allegations levelled against her, police have said that action will be taken after cases are filed.

“We have come to know about the cases from media. If the complainants file written complaints, legal action will be taken,” said Bhubaneswar DCP, Anup Sahoo.

Earlier, a youth from Andhra Pradesh approached the Commissionerate Police alleging that Chinmayee had duped him of Rs 2 lakh on the pretext of marriage. However, later, the actress had refuted the allegations saying that she did not even know the youth.
