Bhubaneswar: Odisha's Ravi Kumar's obsession for Amitabh Bachchan -hosted ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati' landed him on the hot seat of the show and has earned him a hefty sum of Rs 25 lakh.

Kumar who hails from Koraput and is only qualified till Class 12, believes that 'apka gyaan hi aapko haq dilaata hai' (It's your knowledge that gives you your right).

As said by Ravi, it was his knowledge that he could answer the Rs 25 lakh-question in the show. However, with all lifelines exhausted, he had to quit the show while facing the 14th question for Rs 50 lakh. Ironically, his answer for the 14th question was found to be correct later.

Ravi during the game revealed many things about himself and his life. On being asked by the Big B, he revealed that he had taken up B Sc course after 12th but dropped it.

Further he went to say that he applied for a job and subsequently appeared a test in Nalco (where he is currently working) in which, despite being under-qualified, he scored full marks.

"It was only because of the books I was reading while preparing for KBC that made me to score full marks and qualify for the post in Nalco," said Ravi during the show.

Ravi during the show also showed the clips of a comic character 'Supremo' which was based on Amitabh Bachchan after which the actor revealed that the comic was published by a lady journalist in the 1980s.

Ravi was accompanied by his wife during the show. He is the first contestant from Odisha to win Rs 25 lakh in the ongoing season of the Kaun Banega Crorepati.
