Bhubaneswar: A day after registering biggest single-day spike of over 1600 COVID-19 cases, Odisha reported 1434 new positives in the last 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 tally in the State reached 34,913 on Sunday.

Of the total new cases, maximum 320 cases were reported from Ganjam district followed by Khurda (218), Rayagada (197) and Cuttack (123), informed I & PR department.

With the detection of  1434 new cases, the COVID-19 tally in Ganjam district has reached 10,992 . Khurda remains the second worst affected district with  4703 COVID-19 cases, Cuttack (2248), Gajapati (1601),  Sundergarh (1511), Jajpur (1345) and Balasore (1012).

Odisha on Saturday witnessed a record single-day spike of 1602 new COVID-19 cases. Earlier, the State had reported highest single-day spike  of 1594 cases on July 24.
