Odisha: Youth Detained For Filming Girl In Trial Room

Keonjhar: A youth was detained for allegedly trying to capture photographs and videos of a girl secretly while she was changing clothes in the trial room of a shopping mall in the town on Thursday.

According to reports, a girl had gone to the V Mart Mall in the town to buy clothes. After selecting some clothes, she went to one of the trial rooms for checking out. While she was taking off her clothes, she saw a black object in the corner of the stall. She looked up and saw a phone with its camera angled over the edge.

When the girl realised this she raised an alarm following which the security personnel of the mall rushed near the trail room and caught hold of the youth. Later he was handed over to the town police.

“I was about to try on the clothes when I noticed a mobile phone near the ceiling. I could see that someone was holding it and part of his hand was visible. The mobile phone’s camera also faced downwards. I quickly came out and shouted for help,” said the complainant.

“When we questioned the youth about his intention, he threatened to make the video viral on social media. With the help of the security personnel of the mall we have handed him over to the police. We are hopeful that police will take necessary action against him,” she added.
