Odisha: Woman Found Dead Near Bush, Murder Suspected

Bhadrak: Body of a woman was found lying near a bush At Nuapokhari village under Bhandaripokhari police limits here on Tuesday.

According to sources, locals spotted the body with her throat slit lying near a bamboo bush this morning and informed the police.

Meanwhile, Narayan Mohanty, husband of the deceased, has gone missing from the village.

Locals informed that Mohanty married the woman six years ago and the couple has a four-year-old daughter.

A team of Bhandaripokhari police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Though, the exact reason behind the murder is unknown, a senior police official said that all angles are being considered to find out the exact cause behind the brutal act.

"We got to know about the incident at around 5 am today and found the body with deep cut injuries on the throat. Family feud or extramarital affair can be the cause behind the murder," said a local.
