Odisha Winter Update: Dense Fog Alert For Several Districts Till January 6 (SEE PICS)

Bhubaneswar: Odisha would witness foggy weather conditions in several districts for the next two days while the minimum temperature is expected to rise by two to three degree Celsius in the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.

“No large change in Minimum temperature (Night Temperature) during next 24 hours and it will rise gradually by 2-3 degree C thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” said the Regional Meteorological Centre in its last bulletin on Sunday evening.

The IMD also issued dense fog alert for 16 districts till January 6. Yellow waning for dense fog was issued over the districts of Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal and Bhadrak today, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Cuttack, Kandhamal and Jagatsinghpur might experience dense fog on January 5.

Similarly on January 6, yellow warning for dense fog has been issued for Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Jagatsinghpur and Nayagarh districts.rig

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha for next five days:

Day 1 (valid from 1830 hrs IST of 03.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2021):

  1. Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  2. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Kandhamal and at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Puri, Kalahandi, Dhenkanal and Jajpur.

Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2021): 

  1. Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  2. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Puri, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Rayagada and Kandhamal.

Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 06.01.2021):

  1. Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  2. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Angul.

Day 4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 07.01.2021):

  1. Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
  2. Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapara Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.

Day 5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 07.01.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 08.01.2021): Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
