Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to witness moderate rainfall and thunderstorm for the next three days starting tomorrow, predicted the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Tuesday.

According to a special bulletin from IMD, light to moderate rainfall is expected to occur at a few places over Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Kalahandi and isolated places over Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Puri, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj tomorrow. Moreover, thunderstorm and lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Sundergarh and Keonjhar tomorrow.

On Thursday, many places of north Odisha and a few places in Bolangir, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Boudh, Khurda are very likely to experience light to moderate rain. Similarly, hailstorm is predicted to occur at isolated places in Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Dhenkanal and Angul.

Moreover, light to moderate rain is expected to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha and at a few places over South Odisha on Friday. Besides, heavy rain is predicted to occur at isolated places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack and Kendrapara.

Today, one or two places in Malkangiri and some parts of South-interior Odisha witnessed light rainfall while the weather remained dry in the remaining districts. The highest maximum temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius was recorded at Jharsuguda today.
