Bhubaneswar: A truck ovrturned from Vanivihar bridge near Satsang Vihar slum area of the Capital City in the wee hours of Friday.

According to reports, the incident took place when the tyre of the truck burst and the driver lost control over the vehicle which was moving at a very high speed.

However, no injury has been reported in the accident. Only a house in the slum has been partially damaged, sources added.

"I heard a loud sound early in the morning and came out from my house to find the truck falling down the bridge. Luckily no loss to life is reported in the fatal accident. Only a house has been partially damaged," said an eye witness.

On getting the information, Saheed Nagar police arrived at the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.

Earlier traffic along the busy road was partially thrown out of gear as another truck developed a snag and stopped midway on the bridge. The vehicle was unable to move as it's axle broke down on the way and as a result all the heavy vehicles coming by the way were stuck along the route.

What added to the chaos were motorists riding the two-wheelers  through the available little spaces which paralysed the traffic movement.
