Odisha Tableau Shortlisted For 2020 Republic Day Parade

Bhubaneswar: After failing in the last two occasions, Odisha tableau replicating the art and architecture of Lingaraj Temple and Rukuna Rath has been shortlisted for participation in the 2020 Republic Day parade in New Delhi.

Eminent artist Gajendra Sahoo will be designing the Odisha tableau for the Republic Day parade.

As per reports, the tableaux proposals of 16 States/Union Territories have been shortlisted by the government for participation in the Republic Day parade, 2020.

The activities for fabrication of tableau should commence by December 26 in the Republic Day Camp at Rashtriya Rangshala Camp in Delhi and ‘Platform Structure’ should be completed by December 31, while the ‘Super Structure’ should be completed by January 6, 2020, read an official letter of the Ministry of Defence.
