Bhubaneswar: Intense heat wave conditions continued to affect normal life of people in Odisha with the temperature touching 42 degree Celsius in six places today.

As many as 17 places in the State recorded day temperature of 40 degree Celsius or above today, according to the Indian Meteorological Department Bhubaneswar Centre.

According to weather office, Boudh district emerged as the hottest place in the State with a maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius while Bhubaneswar was second hottest with mercury touching 42.5 degree Celsius.
