Bhubaneswar: The students of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya at Notar in Nayagarh district have once again grabbed the headlines for a valid cause. The school students, who have garnered many accolades in the past by creating awareness videos on various social issues, this time have set internet on fire with their latest creation on traffic awareness.

The short music video clip is so enthralling that it earned pat from the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari

Both Patnaik and Gadkari have taken to their twitter accounts to post the video and appreciated the creativity of the students.

Gadkari, who is unaware of the students who created the content has praised the their efforts in communicating the principles of road safety. In a tweet, he has also appealed all to go through the video.

The video has also secured the first position in the Online Idea Competition-2020.

The joy of students and teachers knew no bound after their hard labour to create awareness among commuters yielded fruits.

"We didn't aim at earning prize through the video, but our solo motto was to create traffic awareness. We had secured a state level prize last year with a similar project. But, this year we could not prepare the project early due to Covid-19 pandemic. Anyway, our project has bagged commendation from the Chief Minister and Union Minister, which gives us immense pleasure," said Ipsita Mohapatra, said a participant of the awareness video.

While expressing happiness over the country-wide recognition of their efforts, another student actress Priyanka Priyadarshini said "We have made the video only to make people aware regarding traffic rules. I and my family members including my parents are very happy to learn that the video has been recognised by the Chief Minister and Union Minister."

The song for the video was scripted by the music teacher of the school- Bibhu Prasad Sahu while Kuresh Sahu, another teacher composed the music.

"I am feeling very happy that our video has earned appreciations from across the nation. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for praising our efforts," said music teacher Bibhu Prasad.

Similarly, music director Kuresh Sahu said that their latest video is a unique among other projects they have done in the past.

"We have made so many awareness videos with cooperation from our principal. But, this video has touched the hearts of million across the country," said Kuresh.
