Ranchi/ Bhubaneswar: Maintaining her superb run of form, ace sprinter from Odisha, Dutee Chand has added another milestone in her name by creating a new national record in women's 100 metre sprint event at the ongoing 59thNational Senior Open Athletics Championships in Ranchi.

Dutee clocked 11.22 seconds in the semi finals and in doing so; she broke her own previous national record of 11.26 sec which she created at the recent IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019. Dutee also bagged gold medal with a timing of 11.25 sec in the finals at the 59thNational Senior Open Athletics Championships.

Similarly, national record holder Amiya Kumar Mallick also put up a brilliant performance and won gold in the final of men's 100 metre sprint event. Amiya clocked 10.46 sec to bag the gold medal.
