Bhubaneswar: From the sensational Aditya Dash death case to the missing of minor Jajpur girl Pihu, in a never-before-seen spectacle, many such families of Odisha, who have lost faith on the judicial system and the State government in their individual fight to justice, have decided to join hands together.

Members of as many as 10 such families assembled at the Adimata temple near the Railway Hospital in the Capital City on Sunday and resolved to intensify their demands for justice in a collaborative effort.

A crestfallen yet determined family of the missing little girl Pihu, social activist Aditya Dash’s parents from Bhubaneswar, kin of the Mahanga double murder victims, the relatives of Amrut Das from Kujanga whose mother and brother has tried self-immolation before the State Assembly on November 28 last year were many others who took part in the protest.

The forum has decided to jointly push for CBI inquiry of all the cases in connection with their family members.

“We will go to any extent to get justice for our family members. We will move to the High Court and if possible knock the doors of the Supreme Court to bring the criminals to book. If denied justice, we will not even hesitate to take our protests to Delhi, said a member of the forum.

“We have lost our faith on Odisha Police and the judiciary system completely. We have been getting harassed since the last 10 months by attending so many court dates. But a little development has been made to crack the mysterious death of our son,” said the mother of the late social activist Aditya Dash.

Meanwhile, several social organizations have extended their helping hands to the forum in their fight for justice.

“We demand CBI probe into the cases and will move to the High Court. We are unequivocal in our support to these aggrieved families and will move to the Supreme Court for justice if necessary,” said Surendra Panigrahi, president of Bharat Bikash Parisada.
