Bhubaneswar: The total coronavirus recoveries in Odisha climbed to 77,286 with a record 4053 positive patients recuperating in the last 24 hours, informed State Health & Family Welfare department Monday evening. This is for the first time that Odisha has registered over 4000 recoveries in a single day since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

"Happy to share that Odisha has achieved a record single-day discharge of 4053 COVID-19 patients today! The total recovered cases of Odisha now stand at 77,286," stated H&FW department.

Rayagada has reported 608 recoveries, followed by 468 from Cuttack, 370 from Khordha, 339 from Jajpur, 233 from Ganjam and 217 from Sundargarh.

As far as recovery count in other districts is concerned, the health department has released the details as mentioned below:

The total active cases in the State now stand at 25,758. Active cases have been hovering around 25,000 for quite some time now. The death toll is nearing 500-mark.
