Bhubaneswar: In a major development, Odisha CMO today informed that the government schools as well as the government-aided schools, will now have the same set of question papers for students from class I to VIII from the current academic session.

Taking to Twitter, CMO mentioned about the government's decision while adding that the State government's School and Mass Education Department has already taken necessary steps in this regard.

Earlier, question papers for students from class 1 to 8 were being prepared at the district level due to which allegations surfaced that some districts have been intentionally preparing easy question papers for their students.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the government has taken the new decision which will help students have the same level of competition, said sources. However, evaluation of answer papers will continue at the district level.

Meanwhile, the Mass Education Department has directed the district programme coordinators to ensure that all students attend the examinations.
