Bhubaneswar: Continuing with its strategy to improve citizen-centric services, the Odisha government on Tuesday issued revised guidelines for issuing miscellaneous and caste certificates.

As per a notification, Revenue and Disaster Management department has stated that people now get resident, income and asset certificates within 10 days. At present, such documents are issued within 15 days of application.

Here is the list of documents and revised guidelines:

-ST, SC, SEBC and OBC certificates shall be issued within 15 days instead of 30 days.

– Solvency, Legal Heir and Guardianship Certificates shall continue to be issued within 30 days.

– Legal Heir Certificate shall be issued for all purposes so that citizens will not be required to apply more than once for different purposes.

“These instructions shall be given immediate effect to pending amendment of the relevant Act/ Rules by Revenue and DM Department and ST&SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department,” an official statement read.
