Bhubaneswar: As many as 1320 new coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours in Odisha, taking the State’s COVID-19 tally to 24013 on Saturday. This is for the third consecutive day that State continued to register 1200-plus COVID-19 cases.
Ganjam district reported highest of 560 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours followed by Khurda (174 cases), 90 cases each from Puri and Gajapati, Rayagada (65 cases), 47 cases each from Cuttack and Sundergarh districts, informed I & PR department.

Health department informed that as many as 12,733 samples were tested in last 24 hours in the State. Of the 1320 new COVID-19 positive cases, 887 are quarantine and 433 are local contact cases.
Later in the day, as many as 728 COVID19 patients recovered in the State, taking the total recoveries to 15928.
