Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha reported 210 fresh Covid-19 infections taking the total tally to 3,32,541 on Wednesday. Of the fresh cases, 122 are from quarantine and 88 are local contact cases, informed the State I&PR Department.

None of the districts reported more than 50 cases. Sundargarh registered the highest number of 30 cases followed by Angul (24), Sambalpur (16) and Cuttack (14).

As per State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, the death toll has jumped to 1895 with one more fatality in the last 24 hours.

A death was reported from Khordha district.

He was a 70 year old male Covid-19 positive patient of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes mellitus and hypertension.

A total of 31,952 samples were tested in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tests to 72, 61,900 in Odisha. Odisha’s active caseload now stands at 2,141 while 3, 28,452 patients have so far recovered from the infection.
