Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha reported 183 fresh Covid-19 infections taking the total tally to 3,33,310 on Sunday. Of the fresh cases, 106 are from quarantine and 77 are local contact cases, informed the State I&PR Department.

None of the districts reported more than 50 cases. Angul registered the highest number of 20 cases followed by Khordha and Sambalpur (19 each), Nuapada and Sundargarh (18 each).

As per State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, the death toll has jumped to 1900 with one more fatality in the last 24 hours.

A death was reported from Khordha district.

He was a 52 year old male Covid positive patient of Bhubsneswar who was also a case of diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and undergone renal transplantation.

A total of 30,798 samples were tested in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tests to 73, 76,896 in Odisha. Odisha’s active caseload now stands at 2,039 while 3, 29,318 patients have so far recovered from the infection.
