Odisha: Covid-19 Recoveries Surpass Daily Cases Today, 2772 Recuperate

Bhubaneswar: As many as 2772 patients recuperated from the lethal Covid-19 in the last 24 hours against the single-day spike of 2470 cases. The total cured cases of novel-Coronavirus in Odisha has touched 238535 after today's cure count.

As per the information by the State Health & Family Welfare department, the maximum number of Covid-19 recoveries were from Khordha where 457 patients were declared free of the virus. Apart from Khordha, six other districts logged more than 100-plus recoveries in the last 24 hours. Data reveals 202 patients recovered from Cuttack, 185 from Puri, 182 from Anugul, 150 from Kendrapara, 142 from Nuapada, 106 from Sundargarh, 94 from Balasore, 91 from Jajpur, 78 from Kalahandi and 74 from Bolangir.

During the period, the State reported 2470 new cases and 17 fatalities due to Covid-19. The total positive caseload in the State now stands at 262011 which includes 23476 active cases. The death toll has mounted to 1089, said State Health and Family Welfare Department.
