Bhubaneswar: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances has placed Odisha at 14th spot in its good governance index (GGI) with Tamil Nadu bagging the top position in the composite ranking.

The ranking was released based on the various interventions taken up by the state governments and Union Territories.

As per the report, among the big states, Odisha has secured 10th position in 'Agriculture and Allied' sectors, while bagging 13th rank in Commerce and Industries, 12th in Human Resource Development and 18th in Public Infrastructure.

While it has bagged a decent 5th and 6th position in Environment and Social Welfare & Development, the index has placed the State at a dismal 16th position in Public Health.
