Odisha: Pond Turns Watery Grave For Two Minors In Angul

Angul: Two minor boys were killed after drowning in a pond at Gotamara village under Banarapal police limits on Tuesday.

The two deceased have been identified as Biswajit, son of Bidyadhar Behera and Swadhin, son of Mania Samal, both the residents of the local village.

As per sources, the duo had gone to the pond to take bath yesterday and it is suspected that they might have drowned after slipping into deep waters.

The family members of the boys searched for them for several hours but could not trace them. After some hours of searching, some locals spotted the bodies of the duo floating in the pond.

Banarapal Police has launched a probe into the incident after recovering the bodies of the minors.
