Bhubaneswar: The first phase evaluation of Plus-II examination answer sheets began from today and will continue till April 18. The evaluation will be conducted online in 2 phases for some subjects of Science, Commerce streams while manual valuation will be done for Arts stream subjects.

The second phase evaluation will begin from April 23 and continue till May 2. As per reports, as many as 9,000 teachers will evaluate the answer sheets and all the evaluation centres have been put under CCTV camera surveillance.

In total, 58 manual and 36 online evaluation centres have been set up. While the result for Science stream will be published in May, results of Arts, Commerce and vocational courses will be published in June, sources said.

A total of 3,65,826 students had appeared for Plus-II examinations in the state in March this year.

“We had asked the centres to carry out evaluation at the centres where the CCTV cameras are installed. Meanwhile, teachers will be sent on poll duties for four days from April 9. Once they join back the duty, evaluation will resume,” said Prashant Kumar Das, deputy exam controller, CHSE.

“Today evaluation of History, Political Science, Odia, Sanskrit and Hindi papers were done,” said Bishnu Charan Das, Principal of BJB Junior College.
