Baripada: Despite strict instructions for smooth conduct of Plus II examinations from the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), lapses were detected at Indira Gandhi Women’s College in Udala as the college authorities reportedly forgot to despatch answer sheets of two students to the Board office on Friday.

As per reports, the college authorities sent answer sheets to the Board office through post after sealing the confidential documents yesterday. However, answer copies of 69 out of the 71 students who appeared for the science examination were sent to the Board.

The college authorities found itself in an embarrassing situation after they realised the blunder and reported the matter to the CHSE examination controller. Later, the college Principal along with other officials took the two answer sheets to the nodal centre in presence of local police.

College Principal Jayashree Choudhary informed that the both the answer copies will be sent to the Board office after a discussion with the examination controller.

“We will deposit the two answer copies after giving an undertaking that there were lapses in despatching the confidential documents,” said Choudhary adding that there was tremendous pressure of work due to which such lapses occurred.
